Does any of this sound familiar? PURCHASES · CAMPAIGNS · TRAFFIC SOURCES
Purchases Google Analytics doesn't match my store's sales. You see fewer purchases, duplicate orders or different amounts. We review what each system records and how to compare them.
Traffic sources I have too much direct traffic. You can't explain where some of your visits come from. We review campaigns and user journeys to find where information may be missing.
Campaigns Google Ads, Meta and Analytics show different results. We review which conversions each platform counts and how it attributes them.
Conversion The conversion rate doesn't match my store's. We compare which purchases, sessions or users go into each calculation before drawing conclusions about the business.

Not every difference is an error. A useful review also explains which differences are expected and which need correcting.

What a measurement audit can reveal

Documented examples from our own work and third-party projects, anonymized to protect each business.

Purchases were recorded with the wrong amount

In one ecommerce business, the value sent to Google Analytics, Google Ads and Meta did not reflect the transaction amount. The discrepancy affected revenue and advertising return reports.

One promotion click was counted twice

Two tags recorded the same interaction. Promotions appeared to receive more clicks, and performance was assessed using duplicated measurement.

The gap by channel was larger than the gap in total purchases

The comparison with store records was much closer than the comparison by channel with Google Ads. Attribution criteria needed reviewing; the final cause was still unresolved.

How we help you understand your data

The audit takes 10 business days once we have the necessary access. You receive evidence-backed findings and clear priorities for the next steps.

01

Review what is being measured

We identify the Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager events, parameters and tags within the agreed scope, and check how they fire.

02

Compare with your operations

We review the data you need for decisions and how it compares with the purchases or inquiries your business records.

03

Explain the findings

We document what we find, the evidence behind it and the metrics it may affect. When the cause needs further investigation, we say so.

04

Decide what to fix first

We prioritize corrections by impact and effort. Your team can implement the plan or ask us for a proposal to carry it out.

What's included in a Google Analytics audit

We work with your team to keep measurement reliable

The diagnosis needs to help both decision-makers and the people maintaining the site. We explain each finding and coordinate corrections with your team or agency.

Who we work with

We support businesses with digital operations that need to understand their data and improve measurement. Scope depends on the business, the implementation and the decisions you want to make.

We can help if

Your business generates USD 500,000 to USD 10 million a year and needs to review its measurement.
You run an ecommerce or digital business, or an operation combining online and offline channels.
You already use Google Analytics and need to understand whether the data is comparable and useful.
You want clear criteria for evaluating campaigns, sales or inquiries.
You need to explain discrepancies between reports and business records.
You want a measurement foundation that keeps pace with your business.
You plan to invest in corrections and ongoing measurement maintenance.
Your team is willing to review processes and validate changes.

Before starting, let's assess whether we're a fit if

Your project is not yet generating revenue and is still validating its business proposition.
Your operation is entirely offline and you have not yet defined a digital strategy.
Your priority is producing campaigns or viral content, outside this consulting scope.
You have not yet identified which decisions you need data to support.
You have no budget allocated to implement or maintain corrections.
You need a guaranteed or immediate business result.
No one is available to coordinate access, tests and changes with the people running the site.

Questions about the audit

How long does the audit take?

10 business days from the time we have the necessary access to Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Search Console, for the agreed scope.

What do you need to get started?

Read access to Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Search Console, plus a 45-minute call with someone who knows the business. If the review needs reference orders or tests with your team, we arrange these when defining the scope.

Why use Google Analytics if I already have my store's sales data?

Your store records orders and their status. Google Analytics provides information about visits, user journeys and campaigns. Comparing their numbers requires checking what each system counts, over which period and with what limitations. A difference alone does not prove an error.

I'm just getting started with Google Analytics. Do I need an audit?

If you don't have measurement in place yet, the first step is to define what you need to track and implement it. If a setup already exists, we can review its condition. In the initial conversation, we help you choose the right path.

What if you don't find any errors?

The diagnosis also documents what works and explains expected differences. We tell you what we could verify and what fell outside the scope, without recommending corrections that the evidence does not support.

Tell us which number doesn't add up

In a 30-minute conversation, tell us what you're seeing, when it started and which platform you're comparing it with. You don't need to know the cause to get in touch.
